Travelogue: clean ship

Norway – August 23
Date and time: 23.08.25, 11:00
Location: LAT 63.55°, LON 05.25°
SOG (speed over ground): 11.6 knots
Wind: 20 knots

The weather has shifted. Seas are a little more restless, the wind stronger, and the crew is out on deck tackling one of the hardest jobs: cleaning down the ship. With high-pressure hoses in hand, they rinse coal dust and grit from every hatch and corner. Cold, wet, relentless work, yet there is a rhythm to it, almost a ballet, as they angle the water against wind and surface to wash the dirt away.

Despite the rolling, I slept well last night and woke without a trace of seasickness. Knock on wood, but perhaps I finally have my sea legs. Too rough for walking the deck today, so I will have to settle for the ship’s gym or a YouTube workout to keep my step count alive.

Not much else to report. The horizon looks steady, the weather holds, and with luck these will be the conditions we carry with us all the way to Hamburg.
