Reflections: sunny skies

The sea remains unsettled, the ship rolling heavily as another storm looms, leaving the crew pressed for time with repairs and inspections ahead. I managed some writing despite a poor night’s sleep and plan to keep moving with walking and dancing in my cabin. The sun is out, which lifts my spirits, even as small things like abandoned furniture and iron dust remind me of life aboard. I’m missing you all and looking forward to news from home, especially that Julien has arrived safely.
