Reflections: calm seas

The sea was flat this morning, so I walked on deck before it got rolly again. I had good talks with the captain, the third officer, and Maria the cadet, who shared stories about her family. The chief engineer is a bit gruff, but I’ll try to win him over. I might cook applesauce for the crew soon and am thinking about whether to accept Frank’s GoPro to film Baffin Island. The sea is full of birds today, dancing along the bow.
