Reflections: on board Day 1

On my first day aboard, I found myself climbing what felt like endless staircases during a safety tour that left me both exhausted and exhilarated. As I began settling into my cabin—complete with a makeshift office and a generous supply of mineral water—I reflected on the challenges of understanding the ship's communication systems, the rhythm of crew changeovers, and the constant hum that seems to live in the background. Though still adjusting, I felt well-equipped and quietly excited for what lies ahead.
