Reflections: the town of Narvik

In Narvik Harbor, I spent the day between the quiet bridge and a short trip ashore with the captain. There were divers braving the icy water, a visit to the seamen’s mission, and small discoveries in town, including a library and a kind Eritrean taxi driver. Plans for Hamburg are still uncertain, but I end the day feeling grateful, full from pancakes and salmon, and ready for the sea again.
